Vehicles in German Town Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Police stated they were alerted by a resident who discovered a car in Hanau smeared with red-colored fluid

Approximately 50 vehicles have been smeared with what seems to be blood from a person in the German municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Automobiles, exterior walls and postboxes were defaced, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a statement.

Law enforcement state they were notified during the night on Wednesday, when a man noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored substance.

The substance had been placed in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Officers then discovered multiple other marked automobiles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

These symbols are banned in Germany under regulations outlawing the public display of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement state preliminary tests indicate the fluid was probably human blood.

"At present there remains no indication as to its source; investigators are presently not aware of any harm in connection with the incident," they commented.

City officials announced they were attempting "to solve the incident" and have asked to the residents for details.

A senior political figure said the vandalism left him speechless and required to be addressed promptly.

"This act affects the core of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the far-right terrorist attack in 2020," he wrote on a platform, referring to the killing of nine people by a gunman focusing on people of immigrant origin in five years prior.
