Space-Based Pictures Indicate Iranian Naval Forces and Atomic Locations Hit by Joint US and Israeli Airstrikes.

A wave of American and Israeli airstrikes has reportedly sunk or crippled a minimum of eleven warships belonging to Iran starting Saturday, freshly analyzed orbital imagery demonstrate, with launch facilities and enrichment plants also being targeted.

Photographs of the southern Konarak naval naval base and the Bandar Abbas facility, which sits on the Strait of Hormuz and contains the main command of the Iran's naval force, reveal black smoke pouring from a number of vessels on the start of the week.

Maritime Assets Sustained Significant Losses

Among the ships sunk was the Makran, the country's biggest warship which had been used as a unmanned aerial vehicle platform. Satellite images indicated thick smoke rising from the vessel which had been docked at the Bandar Abbas base.

Intelligence reports suggest that no fewer than five ships at Bandar Abbas were "hit or sunk". Pictures of the southern end of the port reveal smoke emanating from the IRINS Makran, while two other vessels appear to be harmed, with a single one seen burning.

Over at Konarak, photos show several damaged vessels, with expert review identifying impacts on six vessels. Images taken on Monday also show that a number of structures at the installation have been destroyed.

"For decades the Tehran government has threatened global maritime traffic," a senior US military official declared. "Now, there is not one Iranian ship underway in the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz or Gulf of Oman, and we will not stop."

Some ships allegedly sunk may have been concealed in satellite images by weather conditions or battle damage, or struck at sea, and have not been conclusively proven. Separate reports stated that an Iranian vessel was sinking near Sri Lankan territorial waters, resulting in a search and rescue mission.

Missile Bases and Nuclear Locations Targeted

The destruction of Iranian missile bases and the hindering of nuclear weapons development were listed as additional objectives of the military strikes. Satellite images also depicted damage at the southerly Khorgu and northwestern Tabriz missile facilities, and at the Konarak base, where weapons bunkers and bunkers were targeted.

Over at the Choqa Balk-e UAV facility west of the city of Kermanshah, extensive destruction was identified to sheds, underground facilities and UAV launching apparatus.

Destruction was also noted at a surveillance station at the Zahedan airbase military airport in eastern Iran, close to the frontier with neighboring nations.

Perhaps most notably, the latest wave of strikes have apparently focused on facilities at the Natanz complex – considered at the heart of the country's nuclear programme. The UN's atomic energy body commented that the damaged structures were used for access to the site's below-ground nuclear plant and that "no radiological consequence" was likely.

Broader Fallout and Assessment

Defense experts suggested that the attacks appeared to have "largely neutralized" the Iranian navy's ability to carry out traditional warfare using its largest vessels. But, it was noted that Iran still has the capacity to launch unconventional attacks at sea through the use of drones, small submarines and its so-called "shadow fleet" of oil ships.

The full scope of the damage caused to Iranian military facilities has yet to be fully assessed, with hostilities reportedly persisting. Photos also reveals considerable destruction to the command center of the Iran's Revolutionary Guards in the city of Tehran.

A significant number of civilian buildings also seem to have been damaged in the capital and throughout Iran since the hostilities started. Casualty figures from ground sources indicate that hundreds of non-combatants may have been killed in the attacks.

With the conflict ongoing, analysis of aerial photographs will persist to document the unfolding military landscape.
