Musician and artist Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the release called 'Lullaby' represents a opportunity to support Palestinians during the holidays. He remarked the potential for an surprise number one.

Defiant Message of Freedom and Dignity

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who features in the adaptation of a folk song called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the piece's resilient spirit.

“It occupies a very special place for a lot of people,” Barghouti explained. “The essence is that I would choose to perish with honor than spend my life without freedom. This is the primary message of the song; we seek to lead a life of dignity that we deserve as Palestinians.”

The song was recorded after a solidarity show held in late summer. Originally intended to be done as a live recording, the performance was cut from the show due to the event running long.

The impressive roster of musicians appearing on Lullaby includes a group of acclaimed names from the industry. All were part of the earlier concert, which managed to collect a significant sum for relief efforts.

Production and Release

Lullaby was produced by a trio of producers and composers. The track blends a combination of the traditional Arabic lyrics with new English lyrics.

The team running the project have clarified that their goal is to collect the highest amount for a specific fund. These resources will be channeled to Palestinian causes through an established charity.

“We haven't set a fixed goal,” a representative said. “We’ll go for whatever we can get. Naturally, the higher the total, the greater the impact. All proceeds are directed out to those in need in Gaza.”

The context in the region was characterized as its profound destruction, with a overwhelming percentage of property reportedly levelled or seriously harmed.

“Given that reality, a handful of millions doesn’t make an enormous impact. But I think what truly matters is first of all making this cause better known and showing there’s another side to the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is launching on Friday. Additionally, a full recording of the solidarity show will be made ready to watch on a major video platform from mid-December.
